Ready to step into the shoes of a student who hasn’t studied for exams and now must sneakily rely on their phone to cheat? But the teachers never let you do that easily. Will you pass the exams by cheating without getting caught? Play Cheat or Repeat, use your stealth, and react quickly to complete all the exam questions.

Gameplay Walkthrough & Story Plot

Cheat or Repeat is a short indie horror game where you play as a student taking exams and must cheat without getting caught to pass them. You have 10 minutes to find answers for 10 multiple-choice exam questions (one minute per question, on average).

However, strict teachers patrol the exam room frequently. If they catch you looking at your phone, the game ends immediately with no chance to revive. There are 4 exam days, each with tougher teachers: Ms. Dela, Prof. Keys, and Mr. Redstone. You can unlock the next day only by completing the current one. Will you finish them all while tension and time pressure increase during your exam time?

How to Play Cheat or Repeat

As the game starts, you are already sitting at your desk in the exam room with a test paper. It’s time to fill out the test with the help of your phone while acting like a normal student.

Search for answers on phone

Press the spacebar to look at your phone and quickly type any letters appearing on it to fill the search bar. Once the search bar gets full, the correct answer appears.

Fill in the exam sheet

Choose the answer using numeric keys 1-4 based on the phone’s direction. Be sure to pick the right answer! Though you can keep going even if you get it wrong, too many mistakes lower your score.

Watch the teacher

If you are looking at your exam sheet, click your right mouse button and move the mouse to look around. Whenever the teacher is near, switch back to your exam sheet immediately, at least until they move away. When you find the teacher's position strange, stare at them until they disappear.

For sure, it’s not easy to cheat strict teachers in Cheat or Repeat. Will you react fast enough to survive increasing tension and pressure?
